Question about modding the LS3 and reliability

Does anyone know how well the LS3 has performed in the past as far as reliability goes when you go in and add say an intake/headers/other boltons/good safe tune/ and a mildish cam? Maybe a 450-500whp setup?

What I would like to avoid is replacing major internal engine parts on fairly regular basis (not counting me doing something stupid). I plan on getting a M6 when the day comes so I expect the stock clutch won't last forever holding another 150ish more horsepower. Not worried about warranty of course, but just not wanting to own a daily driven headache.

I am new to the LS family of engines and I guess what I am trying to figure out is where in the past have the LS engines typically experienced the breaking points?

I suppose I am looking for some corvette owners experience with the LS3 but I assume that there are going to be some similarities carried over from the LS1-LS2 motors as well.
