Thumbs up

it sure is makes my old walmart kmart roadmaster bike that was put together by some min wage slave feel like a geo metro and now i have a corvette. i tell ya 21 speeds make a HUGE difference going up hills over the 18 and the push button shifters (with numbers in the window letting you know what gear your in a nice touch!) and wheels that can be removed with no tools is sweet!

took my baby on a 10 mile ride today and it ate up the hills and stuff just fine. i do have to replace the stock seat with a more padded one and the bike shop also carries a replacement seat pole with its own shock in it like the ones in the front fork. I LOVE the fact that i can remove the wheels with no tools (my first bike with this feature) this and my last bike had the same types of brakes where you can disengage them to make the removal of the wheels easier. and the shifter with the push buttons are a lot better than the motorbike throttle like shifter or the levers you moved with your thumbs on the old 6 speed beach cruiser bike i rode a few years ago in florida where it was flat and you didn't need any extra gears on the pedals.

Love the thumb and index finger gear controllers here. I tried that motorcycle type shifter and hated it.

Go get yourself a thick gel seat. When I started riding mine, the guy told me that eventually, your butts nerve endings would get used to the seat. I said, uh...no thanks to the stock seat and upgraded to that gel one. Plus, I went out and bought a pair of riding shorts and a couple pairs of padded (underwear type) shorts. Helped out a lot.

Oh, and invest in some of that no flat plastic stuff that goes between the tire and tube...especially if you are going to be doing off roading where thorns will pop your tubes. I can't remember what it's called, but it's about an inch wide and wraps on the inside of the tire between the tube. HUGE investment....saved me a lot of tube patches.
