Do REAR Bilsteins have internal bump stops?

I just got a new set of Bilsteins and am confused about the bump stops. The instructions for the front struts say the bump stops are internal and not to reuse the stock ones. The instructions for the rears mention nothing about bump stops. Do I reuse the stock rear bump stops and dust boots with the rear Bilstein shocks?

I did not use bump stops on the rear with mine. I think per Justice Pete he said no bump stops as the Bilsteins have them internal.

Interesting. I called Bilstein to see what they say. The guy on the phone didn’t know for sure if it had internal bump stops. He pulled up the instructions on it and told me I should use the stock bump stops. The call did not inspire a ton of confidence.

The fronts struts have internal bump stops. The rear shocks you reuse the factory bump stops. I am running lowering springs. However, I cut 1” of my factory bump stops. Since I believe the bump stops are linear in density , I took 1/2” off each end.

Old thread, but I'm curious if anyone here is running the B6's in the rear. What did you do about the bump stops? I see 3 different answers:

A. No bump stop at all.

B. Running the OEM bump stop.

C. Cutting 1/2in off the end of the bump stop.

These shocks/struts will be paired with a set of Hotchkis 1in drop springs.

x3 curious as well. About to pull the trigger on some B6's in the next week or so. with 1.25" pfadt drop springs. I think I remember when installing the pfadt springs on the stock struts I cut half of the bump stock. But that was like 9 years ago so I don't remember exactly.

Installed driver rear. There was no bump stop that needed to be transferred from the factory strut.
Must only be on the fronts.
Going to do the passenger rear tomorrow.

EDIT: doing passenger side rear now.
It had a bump stop from the original strut. I had cut it when I installed lowering springs.
Odd that the driver rear didn’t have one but the passenger rear did. I must have forgotten years ago when I installed the springs.
I’m going to put this passenger side back together without the factory foam bump stop to match the driver rear I did a few days ago.

If it rides awful or makes a noise I’ll take it back apart and put bump stops in. Hoping I won’t have to.

Finished up installing both rear bilstein B6's. Didn't use GM factory bump stops. Feels great. Very smooth and firm in the right way when going over speed bumps or dips in the road - no suspension noise at all. AND my passenger rear end suspension rattle is completely gone. That strut was completely blown.

Highly recommend anyone contemplating the B6's to do it.

I will replace the fronts with bilsteins in the future.

Good to hear, I should have done them when I replaced every other suspension part.
