need advice

Ok here it is. I have a 2014 camaro 1lt/rs Manual. I'm adding a K&n cold air intake typhoon and mrt v2 exhaust. Shop guy says I will need to tune after this set up. How important will it be to tune and will this help improve all around performance. For my ride. Thanks inadvance.

You don't have to tune for CAI and exhaust. You'll be fine, and your car will feel like a whole different car. (Because the sound not the extra power)

No tune... 5-6 HP gain (from CAI) that wont be noticable but sound will be much improved, especially at higher rpm's

I agree with the others on here no tune required with your mods but, check out the v6 section on here just to be sure. Any time you change your ECM your warrenty could be voided. There is a possibility the dealer will help you out but, to be safe consider it to be gone.
With those mods it will sound awesome!!

No tune required for those two installs. The computer on our Camaro can do all the adjustments to compensate and re-learn for these new items.

Thank you guys for advice. The shop guy is bent on tuning/dyno and for $450 seems kind of high for these mods..

I have those exact mods on my 2014 RS manuel and no tuning is required. However if you are going to tune it spend the $450 on a IPF tune you can do yourself and reset it to factory when you take it in for service or warranty. IPF is not the best Tune but if you dont want to loose warranty it is the best option and you will notice a big difference with the IPF good luck.
