Hot engine

I was driving and I got a a message stating "ac turn off due to engine running hot" it was a 70 psi and I never got that message before.
I just changed my oil on my car.
Does anyone know what it is? 13 camaro.
Thank you.

What is the oil level showing on the dip stick now after you changed it?
When engine is cooled completely it would be a good idea to look directly in radiator taking the cap off to see if coolant is at the top of radiator. And then if coolant is fine investigating temperature sensor accuracy be a good next step.

It shows at the correct level. I put 6 quarts of mobile 1 synthetic.
I'll check again in the morning the oil and the radiator fluids. I did checked the radiator fluids once the problem started but I will once it's cool down in the morning.

Is it an SS or LT? (V8 or V6)

OP car is a V6. If oil level is full and radiator is full, then with engine cold, start it up and turn a/c on which should start the electric fans on the radiator spinning fast. I noticed on my car the electric engine bay fans turn on as soon as i turn the a/c on. If the fan in engine bay is turning at high speed then problem maybe a faulty temperature sensor or cooling system thermostat. I would not run the engine very long until you can confirm it is not actually overheating in order to prevent damage.

I did a tune up plus the battery was going bad. Bought a new battery as well and it looks like it did the trick.
Thank you all for all your inputs.

Yeah, no, a "tuneup" or battery replacement won't fix overheating. You should look at the cooling fans and diagnose the problem. Overheating will destroy your engine and leave your car near worthless or a very expensive repair.

You can get spurious error messages when the battery is low and sensors aren't getting the required voltage to operate properly. Having said that, "service stabilitrack" seems to be the most common false error. I started seeing that occasionally when the battery was about 7 years old, and never since I replaced it.

BTW, what do you mean by "tuneup"?

Yeah I think it was the battery all along but it was time to do a tune up on my car. Ex. Sparks plugs and all.
