been thinking about ordering a PTB this week. Anyone have both?

I think most people who have both have done the PTB first. The PTB works, but is not anywhere near as noticeable as the VTC. They do compliment each other though, because the VTC opens the TB faster and/or wider at x RPM, while the PTB brings in air smoother. Like the above poster said, you may need to back your VTC down a notch or 2. Would love to know if that is the result for you. Please post results if you do get the PTB

Wish i had a stock LFX to compare my mods against. Its like picking out a new TV. Easy to compare in the store, side by side. But once you get it home they all look just as great. I have both VTC and PTB. You can really notice the VTC, the PTB you can notice a little. Together they are great but to be honest i would need to compare it against stock.

if I had to do it all over again, I probably would just get the vtc. unless there's a good deal on the ptb.

I don't know if the '14-'15 V6s still have (what used to be called) the "dead spot" in the rpm range. The '13s and below suffered from a noticeable lag in throttle response in the 1,500-2,000 rpm range. The PTB fixed that. I had a '12 1LT and the difference in factory and CNC Ported TB was significant. I'm not aware if there was a VTC back when I had my V6, but it probably would have benefitted from having both.

If I had had the opportunity, back then, like PoorMansCamaro stated... I would have installed a VTC first. Probably wouldn't have felt the need for a PTB.

I don't think the V8s suffer much from throttle lag due to the factory throttle body, but I got a PTB anyway as soon as I bought my '13 1SS - just in case. If I had known about the VTC, I would have bought it first - probably could have skipped the PTB.
