pump and fans running after key off???
Anyone notice their heat exchanger pump and electric fans kick on after key has been turned off? Just noticed it today after some spirited driving and I popped the hood to check my catch can. I'm curious is there logic in the ECM that can we can change temp settings etc...that make this happen?

I want to know if its easily changed because I'd like to have it in a track only drag tune to be more aggressive in bringing temps down in between rounds when I can put the charger on the battery to keep the electrical system happy.

From what I can tell, the key has to be on for the pump to run.
The fans on the other hand,.... |

I know that the fans would stay on if your car is running hot after you turn it off. You say the electric water pump stayed on also?

I just ordered the Lingenfelter intercooler, reservoir and manual override (part #L300180000) to do what you describe. The intercooler has two fans whose set points can be adjusted and the manual override will run the fans and pump on a timer to quickly cool down between runs.
This is the foundation for bigger things to come. http://www.lingenfelter.com/mm5/merc...0#.VSHxS4E8KrU http://www.lingenfelter.com/mm5/merc...2#.VSHxJ4E8KrU

Yes the pump kicked on after the key was out and I had opened the hood, I put my hand on it just to make sure I wasn't going crazy, even squeezed a hose to see if it was actually flowing. A short time later the two factory fans both kicked on what sounded like a low setting and ran for some time also.

Definitely had the pump running without the key in it and the hood was open
