Hub assembly question

I have access to alldatatpro.com which basically has service manuals for vehicles that dealers use. I looked up hub assembly replacement and the last step says to use a "special tool" to separate the assembly from drive shaft. It doesn't say what that "special tool" is so my question is, is it something special I need or is it just an axle nut? Every video I watch on YouTube there is an axle nut that needs to be removed so I'm going on the assumption that this is it. Am I wrong? Anyone remove a hub assembly before that could shed some light on this for me?

When I did my rear hub, I just removed the nut and used a two or three arm puller to pull the hub out of the knuckle and off the axle. Slipped the new on one after making sure the axle splines were lined up. Was a lot easier than I was expecting.

Ok thanks. I was going to rent a slide hammer from AutoZone as I feel like I might have issue with rust and it being seized and an overall pita to get off. I'd rather not hammer in the axel like I've seen on YouTube. Thanks for your help!

Heres a couple of pics. It was a two arm puller.

I just bought some cheap ones from Rock Auto.2 rotors plus pads were $100 something. They are called PowerSports and got good reviews when I looked through Google and Amazon so figured I'd take a chance. I don't track or do anything crazy as this is my DD so I didn't need anything expensive. Plus I have other things like hub and struts I have to fix.
