Yesterday, I was waiting in a parking lot to meet my kid. An old--- no, I mean OLD--- lady was walking her dog, and passed near. I saw her out of the corner of my eye, motioning for me to roll down the window. I did.

She proceeded to marvel about how amazing my car was. She went on and on... and on, before she went on some more about how amazing the car was. She kept asking me how I got it look so perfect... and wanted to know if I had restored it myself, or if I bought it this way... and have I entered it into car shows? She just couldn't believe what amazing condition it was in.

I finally figured out that she thought this was a 1st generation Camaro. She thought this thing was a pristine example of a car almost 50 years old. In fact, she said that looking at this car really "took her back."

I never corrected her. There was no reason to.
