First Track Day

I will be participating in my first HPDE tomorrow in the Z/28. I plan on taking it easy and really learning from the instructor. The fluids have been checked, I plan on 26 psi cold temps in the tires. Is there anything else I should do? I've had 5 previous outings in a previous Porsche however I plan on starting in the Novice class.

I will try and find my GoPro and get some Video footage.

Good luck and have a blast; sounds like you have the right attitude. IMHO you may want to consider starting at a higher tire pressure, especially for your first run. My target pressure for the Trofeo Rs is 34psi hot. Starting at 26 won't get you there, unless it's incredibly hot. Given that your in B.C., starting at 29 may be more appropriate. The suggested 29psi target, in the Pirelli literature, is oriented towards Porsches, not the 3,800 pound monster that is the Z/28...

I will start with 29 thank you. I plan on Burnishing the brakes tonight. 25 times @ 15-60-15mph should that do it.

29psi is a good starting point. Make sure you are aggressive during the brake burnishing. On your first session take it easy on the first lap then get more aggressive with the brakes then cool down as the track document states. Did you upgrade the brake fluid to a higher temp fluid? If not, you are probably still o.k...it just isn't ideal.
