What ARE these things?!?

I'm not really a buyin' junk kinda guy, but I saw this pair of WTF items at an estate sale... paid $1.50 for the pair, a price I was willing to pay just to be able to try to figure out what they are.

They are metal, steel, I presume... very heavy. They seem well machined, possibly aircraft grade. One is tarnished and chipped, the other is really nice condition, so I don't think that these have always been a pair.

Anybody?

(the measuring stick in the pics is in inches)

Are they magnetic? Or a non magnetic metal like stainless steel?

They do not appear to have any magnetic qualities...

Upon your suggestion, in fact, I just now tested them with a refrigerator magnet. It seems that the magnet will not adhere to these... although there is POSSIBLY a slight (I mean REALLY slight) attraction.... certainly not enough to say that it positively exists.

Sounds like stainless steel.... Depending of the grade of stainless it could have a slight magnetic attraction.
I am trying to find something similar. Do you happen to know what the person did for a living?

Kind of hard to tell their size since they are not lined up well with the ruler.

Fredericia Motor Klub?

But I don't know what they are. What other things were at the sale? Maybe a hint to what to original owner did for work/hobbies?

Unfortunately FMK is used for a lot of things in Denmark.

They may be a pair of small fixtures or jigs for machining a specific component, what that may be I have no idea,
