MRR M228 Lug nut issue solved

Sorry if this information has already been shared, but I didn't find it so I'm doing this post. For those of us who already have the MRR wheels mounted on our cars you have figured out that the lug nuts on the rear wheels stick out further than they do on the front. "ntmad8tr" was the first one I saw that fixed the problem. He was able to go to his local discount tire and order two different lengths of lug nuts. Unfortunately for me, I wasn't able to do that at my discount tire... I did find quality splined lug nuts on eBay for a good price. I got mine through Driven Products, info@drivenproductsllc.com . I went with black M14x1.5 , 1.35" tall in the rear and M14x1.5 , 2" tall in the front. I paid $60 for a complete set of each length and two sockets. I used the ones I need and will sell the others for half of what I paid. Hope this helps others.

I already had a set of black lug nuts (with Gorilla lock nuts), so I purchased the Gorilla Duplex acorn lock system 76643NBC.

Run the duplex (longer) ones in the front and half of my old set in the rear. Still a PITA to carry/use two lock keys.

Oh nice. I nixed my Gorillas all together, they were a pain in the butt getting the key on and off of them; I just got tired of it. Now with my mixed spline sets, they have matching keys so I still get one key.
