Hi everyone. Just recently bought a 13 zl1 m6. I'm new to the camaro seen and had a few dumb questions. I'm looking to change fluid in rear and trans.. Now my question is does the brake fluid and trans share the same resiviour? With only 6k miles the fluid looks dirty under the hood. And what brand and type should I use along with rear fluid. Thanks for any feed back

Nice...welcome to the Jersey family.
No, brake and trans are definitely not linked.
I don't know why the brake fluid would look dirty.
Maybe someone else does, or search the forums.
Probably should flush it right away and then keep an eye on it.
I use all GM fluids from the dealer for trans and diff.

Do you mean brake and 'clutch' sharing the same fluid? Is so, then yes they share the same resivoir.

That would make sense, as the clutch will dirty up the brake reservoir in a hurry..

Alright so the clutch and brakes share the same. I'm going to just use a turkey baster to get the fluid out and may sound silly but would I also need to bleed the brakes once filled back up pumping the clutch pedal.

I would highly recommend the Mightyvac for your bleeding, does a perfect job with just one person and absolutely no air left in the system. I just did my car all the way around and my brake pedal is actually better that it was when I purchased the car brand new. One thing you will need an air compressor for the Mightyvac.
