Production for 2015 SS is over.

Today I received the bad news that my order on a SS 1LE had to be canceled, basically any SS since they had depleted their stock of LS3 engines the production will continue for V6 models a few more month's or until their parts for V6 get used up.

You wouldn't have gotten a good deal on it anyways, I can't even find a good deal on the base ss trim. Most dealers aren't even responding to me. This is pissing me off.

Anyways if you're ready to pay full price you can find 1LE's around. These phucking crazy dealers are listing msrp prices above actual msrp and will barely discount them. Some post false internet price sales which most likely you won't qualify for. Only one dealer has been kind to actually keep in contact and answer any questions I have.

OP, there is a red ss 1le here in Michigan if you're interested:

I hadn't heard that.
Who told you this news?
What is their source?

When did you place your order?
When did the dealer enter it into the order system?
What is your order number?
What Event Status Code was it at?

You need to talk to Becky at Rodger's Chevy.
I'm sure she could help you.

You can PM her thru the board.

Well dealer called me two days ago letting me know that my order SZRK99 out of Texas was not going to be able to make it to the production line since the stock for LS3 engines had been depleted and that info came from the factory where ever they are building at the moment to the dealer. I would assume that any order that made it to the production line by now have nothing to worry about.

How did the orders get to SZ already?

Most of the latest ones started with SQ or SR.

Just wait til the 2016s hit the lot, then I bet they will become a lot cheaper real quick.

Found out from Becky that my order is good and they will be building them until November. Don't know why they canceled your order but maybe check into it a bit

So when did you place your order?

If it was after 6/25, that might explain it. The 2015 coupe special order cut-off date was 6/25.
That doesn't mean an order couldn't be placed after that. The dealer could have used one of their retail orders for a special order if they had the allocation.

I'm not sure what is going on with your order.
Maybe your dealer tried to apply your order to one of his retail orders but didn't have allocation?
Or did he get scared of the constraint on 1LE (it seems that 1LEs always have a constraint on them warning the dealer & buyer that it may take 120 days for the car to get built. This constraint, however, didn't seem to affect the pick-up of 1LE orders)?

Yeah the dealer said they had an allocation open and that's how they placed the order on 7/08 but on the 22-23 they called and said that my order would not be able to make it to the production line due to no LS3 engines available, that's all I know.

That's too bad.
I wonder if it's truly because of LS3 engine production or because he just didn't have allocation.

I see an SRQ order with a TPW of 8/10.
And an SQM order with a TPW of 8/17.
(I'm assuming these are Camaro orders. Don't know the build configuration of the cars, though.)

I'm also curious, I have a SQP order with a TPW of 7/27. My order was put in the 1st week of June. What was you event code status before they cancelled it?
