It’d be easier if we all knew what your budget is for the first purchase. There is a wide variety of wallet weight on this forum haha

Are you tuned or did someone just install the parts without one? A tune will give it that kick in the pants if you're wearing long tubes.
Maybe a CAI next? |

I'm actually not sure I bought it and it already had long tubes and exhaust it may also be tuned for it I'm not sure I bought it from the dealer so hard to tell what the last guy has done and as for wallet weight I was thinking like 300 to 750 roughly

You could do 3.91 gears. About the best performance bang for your buck as far as acceleration. If you can do it yourself you'll be in that range if not you'll be around $1200

CAI intake will provide a few HP. After a cai, exhaust and tune the next step is really a cam for HP gains. That's around $1k in parts, 1k+ in labor if you can't do it yourself. The other thing you can do is a torque converter, will pull out of the hole a lot quicker.

If it has headers, I would imagine it has a cold air intake already. If the SES light isn't on, then it probably has some sort of tune on it, if only for the O2 sensors.
Keep in mind, that regardless of what you do at this point to add power, it would need to be retuned, and I would venture that alone would be at least $500. Point is $750 isn't going to get much these days. a)cheap b)fast c)reliable Pick any two. |

To stay in the lower end of your budget, you could do just a CAI, around $375-400, and for another $180 or so you could do a scoop and w/w reservoir II relocation (the reservoir II mounts behind the fender away from hot headers). I think the CAI is more noticeable with the relocation and scoop at 50-100+ mph, without them the CAI just seemed like extra noise and no noticeable gain to me but it does make something and is a part of the bigger picture. You might even be able to squeak in a tune in with the intake mods for a few hundred more than your $750 budget. If AFM is deleted, it sounds like you are tuned, unless you have a range or diablo hanging out of the OBD II port. Gears is a great mod and the much more noticeable but if you can’t diy you’ll be well over your budget and you’ll probably want to have your speedo corrected for the change (additional $ at the tuner)

A gear would probably give you the most bang for your buck but the install can get expensive.
Same thing with a nitrous kit. If you can do the install yourself you can make it in your budget. Or save up for a cam kit. Give us a call and we can help plan a build for you. |

Didn’t even think to ask. Does it already have an aftermarket intake?
