need help
Hey guys I need some opinions on what I should do. So I changed out subframe and differential bushings with delrin bushings last weekend now the noise is pretty loud. If this is how its suppose to be then fine I'll deal with it but my question is do axles make noise too when they are fixing to go out? I sako this because now that I remember while we were swapping out the diff bushings we noticed that the passenger side axle was leaking grease from the boot. Could this also contribute to the noise that I'm getting or not. The noise Ima like a howling sound. Thanks in advance guys

With the solid bushings you will hear all kinds of noise...howling, whining, clunks...etc. Dynamat will be of some help. I installed delrin bushings on my old differential and the noise was noticeable. Tried multiple combinations with gear oils and the quietest oil that I used was Redline Shock Proof gear oil 250w. That got rid of the whine resonating through the bushings, but the clunks and occasional howl was present. Changed out for a stock ZL1 kit and not an ounce of noise anymore

Is it suppose to be louder than a cammed muffler delete car? I'll see if I can get a video of the noise.

Would have to hear it, but yes it will resonate throughout the car once you start installing stiffer bushings regardless. I didn't change subframe bushings with my car just for that reason. It was bad enough with just delrin bushings in my old differential...An alternative would be to go with a stiffer bushing from GM, they take noise into consideration unlike the aftermarket. ZL1 / 1LE subframe bushings. Just a thought

I think this was the main reason JDP did not install my diff bushings on y BMR level 2 kit.

Well I checked the axle and it did leak a lot of grease so that might be the problem
