Request: LOC wiring without BA system

Hi guys, just looking to see if anyone has a pic of their setup. My understanding is I need to wire the LOC in the truck to the rear speakers. Does anyone have a pic of that? This will be my first sub/amp wiring and I'd like to make sure I do it correctly.

Do I need a wiretap? Or just wire it next to the existing end point of the stock wiring? Also, which ones in the back are the + and which one is - ?

Basically, all I'm doing is:
power to battery with fuse (in trunk)
Ground the amp (find a bolt in trunk)
Tap the rear speakers (this is where I'm a little confused on how it works)
rca cables to amp
Does this sound all correct?

How about the remote power? Do I need that? So the amp will turn ON when car turns on correct?

These are great thank you! But it seems to deal with adding an amp to the speakers which I'm not doing. Just doing a basic mono amp/sub/LOC.

I think if I have been reading instructions correctly, it goes something like:
AMP: Plug RCA to RCA from amp to LOC
AMP: Attach to power on battery
AMP: Find a ground
LOC: Power wire attaches to AMP
LOC: tap into the positive/negative in the back speakers

I think I got that correct? And the amp turns on when car power turns on?

More googling reveals that I need a PAC sni-45 LOC but these are no longer available. Any alternatives?

The links provide clear instructions and pictures on how to do your installation therefore, you should really have been able to make the distinction and apply that knowledge. If this is causing concern on your part then I would suggest paying a professional shop or someone that has the applied knowledge to do so for you. While "simple", you can mess up your car quickly and rather costly.

The PAC AA-GM44 is the preferred adapter for the non-BA system because it provides both the RCA's and the remote turn on required by your amplifier in the cleanest and professional manner. This adapter is used because it works no matter what amp(s) you are installing and its cheap. Pick up your 16' twisted RCA's from Knukonceptz.

The other less preferred option is to t-tap/splice into the rear speakers for an RCA drop in the trunk and hack/rig some sort of manual on/off 12V switch for your amp. Some amplifiers have a built in remote turn on, you can go that way as well. Simple research would have shown the 45 was replaced with the 45t, though the PAC SNI-35 LOC's are the more common model, both available anywhere (Walmonkey, Amazon, eBay, SubT, Crutchfield). They even make one with a remote turn on built in supposedly. This direction is less professional and if you ever decide to upgrade your speakers and obtain a 4 channel, your throwing these away for the GM44.
