Need to find a new place to get my car worked on.

It's been a while since I've had any work done to my car. I know ARD is closed now, that is that last place I have use. I need to find a place in the Houston area that is good. I had my motor done at G-Force in Pearland I believe it is. I had a very bad experience with them. The tune or something after the build caused my transmission to blow. That was a few years ago. So I'm having a little over heating problem now. I'm not sure if it's my water pump, Fan clutch not really sure, But I need to find a new place to get some work done. Where is the best place ?

I would check the thermostat for the cooling in the water neck to the engine and replace it first yourself. You have electric fans also and the thermostat for them could also be getting bad two things any good local shop if not yourself should be able to do.

You do not seem that you know that much about what was done to the car, I would say varying the shift points and removing torque management if your tune was done right being altered may have been the cause of the trans trouble or the combination of that and installing the torque converter..? You do not have a fan clutch and water pumps usually leak out their weep hole at the shaft where its bearings and seal can go bad and that's a tell tale sign the water pump is bad.....

Good luck, you should try the regional posts as lots of places that are real good are in Texas also. And look and you may find posts from people with similar problems going to recommended places near you....
