Who's gotta park this baby on the street?

So my house doesn't have a garage or driveway.. living in the city doesn't always afford that luxury but I'm buying anyway because it's the only car I care to own. I've always driven very modest cars and at 31 I'm thinking ya only live once. Fortunately I live by a fairly quiet side street in a decent neighborhood but it does make me wonder if I'm crazy sometimes.. Locking wheel nuts, perhaps Ravelco security, or move to a house with a garage
that aint happenin anytime soon

Just make sure you have insurance and hope for the best. It's all you really can do. You can take some precautions though. Locking lug nuts, don't leave valubles on the seat or in plain view. Be cool to your neighbors. You'll be alright.

Yea I refuse to take my Camaro into Philly, I will borrow a car to do so, but then again the only place I go is back to LaSalle to hang out with my fraternity brothers, and well, we all know the great area LaSalle is in. I would maybe consider it if I were going out to Manayunk as that would be the area you would want to be noticed at. Guess it depends where in the Philly area you live. My only comment is good luck, atleast you are on a quite street and not anything near the main drags. Oh and you better buy it soon before the 8% sales tax kicks in!

As for IF the Phils win the World Series again... hope your car isn't the one to be flipped like last year!

VERY WELL SAID SSOOCH!!
Be cool with your neighbors, they won't "touch" your car when your not there and might even look out for it while your away. And the do the other things listed above.
But, you do have to expect some bumps/dings living in the city and especially parking on the street. Not saying go out and move, but just be careful where and how you park. I used to live in the city. No more, thank God!!!

Will be parking on the streets of the DC, not excited about it, but that's one of the reasons why I'm getting an LS. Wont have to worry about scratching up those steel wheels.

OP, are you gonna use any kind of bumper protection?

Yeah, I got the polished 20's. I'm looking at some of the clear bra options for front and rear fascias. As soon as I take delivery, I'm going to clay bar and polish the car with Zaino. Then I'll probably throw a club on the wheel until I get security on the car. Leaning towards the Ravelco setup. For winter driving I just had my 18" ASA rims and Pirelli Scorpion ice and snow tires delivered. Now I just need the car. Getting psyched!

Number 3 lives in a nice neighborhood, but other people came through and stole his wheels. Treat your neighbors with trust but take steps to guard your car anyway.

RENT A GARAGE

Go door-to-door and cut a deal to rent a garage.

Just stop and think. Read all these posts about the attention this car draws.

Take my advice. You'll thank me. You may find a neighbor who will help you o

out!!
