Do people honestly care?

This question is more for the V8 owners out there, but anyone is welcome to comment. For the V8 owners out there, do you care if owners of a different version camaro do things to their own car to make them look like your version? Its a dumb question to most, but still Im curious to find out.

Take my car for instance. Everything done to my car was from the help and tips from members of this forum to try to improve the look of my car in a nice and unique way. But, in doing so, it quite resembles that of a 1LE. To which was never my intent, it just happened that way. Since the modding has commenced, I have gotten more flack, have had more issues and tension with and from fellow camaro owners than anyone else. All the while sitting here thinking to myself when I reading and in some cases hearing these comments, "why exactly do you care"? Maybe there is something Im missing or not looking at from the right perspective that prevents me from understanding the hatred and flack a lot of fellow camaro owners dish out to other camaro owners.

Not sure why that happens... but I will speak for myself and say that I will mod my car any way I feel like it. I mean, I'm installing a ZL1 front bumper in the next few days and its because I like the look and will like how my car looks after I install it. Do I care if people hate, or call me poser, or anything of the sort? Heck no... my ride, my taste, mine... and I'll do what I please to it...

Just brush the naysayers off your shoulders... honestly, the less you care, the faster that issue disintegrates...

I'd love to have a ZL1 fascia to be honest

Modify YOUR car the way YOU see fit.

People that care are insecure and use objects to make themselves feel superior. So when someone takes a less expensive object and makes it look as good or maybe perform better than the object they use to make themselves feel superior, they react by getting defensive. This topic has been beat to death. WGAF what someone thinks about your car or what you are doing with it. Those folks aren't worth it.

The only problem I have is when some tries to pass it off as something it's not either to try to impress someone or for financial gain. Those people are even more pathetic than the people complaining about someone modding their car to look like a different model.

Ignore the complainers, as others have said, make your car what you want.

Do what you want to your car.

If you ever take a step over to the other subsections of the forums, theyre all circle jerking each other based on their trim. Sometimes it bleeds over to here and they get upset

I only find it odd whenever someone has to LIE about their car.

It's your money and car payment. Do I have opinions yes but they don't really mean anything. Mod away!

I have no problem with anything anybody does to their car. It is good for the hobby in general.

Based on the responses so far, I think I will put COPO decals in my Camaro.

Take what members say on here with a grain of salt, you bought the car for your own personal use do what you want and ignore the people who say otherwise. Some LS and LT look a lot better than some SS out there, Ohio speed over here has a nice TT V6 and its for sale. If I was looking for a car I might've picked that up. In general make it look how you want it to look and perform and enjoy doing it.
