I purchased My 2012 SS 2 months ago from a Chevy dealer. Great car but I would like to know exactly what is this item that's added to my car. There are two of these plastic tab things on my front grill and two in the back by my license plate. There is a switch on the left side of my lower dash. If I turn it on, I hear some beeps and what sounds like an Asian girl talking Asian

Is it a radar setup?
Any ideas on make and manufacturer. I would like to download a manual.

They sure lacked vision when they installed it. Wonder if they were drywallers or something?

Yea, exactly..Sheet metal screws is not a good look on the Camaro.

If it's just a laser jammer it's still legal in New York, if it's a radar jammer too then it's illegal everywhere in the US.

Hahaha that's awesome. Use that sucker but be really really careful. I'm not sure if cops have ways to find out who's using the jammer. I always thought speeding tickets were scams.

It seems the trick is to slow down to the speed limit when the cop is trying to get a read on you. Then you turn the unit off so the cop sees you doing the speed limit. If you keep it on, he will not get a read and then knows you got a JAMMER!!. It's a $500 unit, lets hope it works

It's a laser jammer system, and it's perfectly legal in most states (there are exceptions, check your state laws). There's a difference between RADAR and LASER jamming. Radar is highly illegal across the board, but laser is legal in most states.

Side note, i'll take it off your hands if you're worried about laws

Radar detectors are legal in all states except VA, DC, and *maybe* CA (don't know, check your own state). Radar jammers are illegal to use, and if a cop sees it, you're getting heavily fined
