CD changers?

Ok, yeah, I'm stuck in the 90s. I have CDs. A LOT of them. I like to listen to them and I don't always take the time to rip them to my phone or a USB drive.
Anyone have any experience with CD changers these days?
I used to have one in my old Monte Carlo that was decent. Played via FM modulator.

I've looked at quite a few of them and none are really all that great. Sony has one that comes with a 12V car kit and plugs into the AUX jack, and that's about the best one.

I am interested to know as well. I have well over a thousand cd's and no car to listen to them in anymore.

For what you spend on a cd changer you are probably better off buying a ipod and just loading all of your discs onto itunes...it goes pretty quick. Cd players are going by the wayside as well in cars so its going to be an ongoing issue. I literally just threw away a 12 disc changer last fall since all my cds are loaded on my phone and are digital now. Much nicer than dealing with cds

Agreed. Digital is great if you have a small collection. I have 2700+ titles on CD, and it's not feasible to have everything loaded on USB or my phone. Sometimes I just want to grab one on my way out, or play the one I just purchased on my way home.

You'd be quite surprised at how much you can fit on digital devices, assuming you buy a model with enough storage. Plus, you can't scratch a flash drive or an ipod. It's just plain and simple more practical, and probably will be cheaper in the end.

And if you want to play the CD you just bought, the camaro's stock radio still has a disc player, you don't need a changer to play one disc

For 2013, when GM went to the MyLink, there were no more CD players (unless you had an LS model which still kept the original radio with a CD player). So unless you have an LS, after 2012, you have no CD player.

I don't miss having cds fall over the car or trying to find the right one or trying to find a place to store them....

Right, my mistake, I didn't keep up much with the options for post 2013, I thought mylink was an add-on feature, not standard
