Regrets?
Just currious do any of you guys regret getting your z28's? If you could go back in time would you still pull the trigger? I feel like maybe I should have went with the zl1 or hell even a z06
.. Has anyone here actually gone from a z28 to say a zl1 or c6 z06/zr1 C7 stingray C7 Z06? I usually feel like I should have until I walk to my car and rememeber that I have 1 of 440 cars built(MY2014), makes me smile.

No regrets here. Before I bought mine, I looked at a new '15 C7 Z51, an '11 ZR1 and a '12 Z06. My Dad ended up buying the ZR1 which is about as badass as they come. But I really had my heart set on the Z/28. So that's what I bought. Dad went with me to buy the Z/28 and his reaction when he first saw it was, "oh my god, what an incredible looking car". Almost made him, a Corvette guy through and through, regret not getting one himself. But he's pretty damn happy with his ZR1.
I've owned 86 cars in my life. Vette's, Vipers, Shelby's, turbo this and supercharged that, and having the Z/28 finally makes me feel like I bought the perfect car for me. There's always been something about every single car I've owned that I really didn't like. Not so with the Z/28. From the brakes, wheels, 427 CI motor, wickerbill, 305's all around, low production...the list just goes on and on. To each their own, as they say. But for me, the Z/28 is the ultimate car.

It's funny because I have a ZL1, which I love, but have second thoughts that I should have went with the Z28.......had I timed it right when Chevy was giving their 20% discount it would have been a no brainer. I love the rawness of the Z28 and I love the small touches that make it look so badass. Seems like a small thing, but that massive splitter in the front, the fender flares and those awesome wheels all come together to make it the most kick ass looking muscle car in my eyes. I am waiting patiently to see what Chevy does with the Gen 6?

No regrets here, either. I wasn't even in the market or considering a Z/28 until my friend texted me one weekend morning (over a year ago- wow!) about a local SUPER deal on a new red Z/28. I'd already sworn off red cars, so I was like, "No way," but I checked out the dealers website and saw they had a white one. A few calls and emails to the dealership to confirm delivery miles and trade in value, another call to my wife who was at work to meet me at the dealership, and I drove my new 2014 home that same evening. I had never even sat in one until I pulled out of the lot!
I plan on keeping this car for the foreseeable future. I'm not concerned with what happens with prices nor am I deluding myself that it will ever be worth more than I paid for it (although stranger things have happened). They aren't making any more and with only 1728 total, it will always be a unique car. |

We had a 07 Z06 and I loved the LS7 but sold it and we purchased a new 2015 Z06 Z06 convertible but with the 20% plus off I just had to get one so it will be with us for awhile.
By the way, a local just purchased a new Z/28 with air for 55K.........

Never have regrets....follow your first instincts. Rule #1
Although I would love to have a Z28 in the stable with my ZL1.

ZERO! It is an awesome machine in every way. 7:37 on the Ring (on wet track), last GM product w/ LS7, ~ 1760 made, DSSV dampers, manual gear box (going the way of the dinosaur), CCBs, etc.. It won Motor Trend 2014 driver's car of the year and competed with several super cars for EVO's 2015 car of the year (the only true race car driver on the selection committee ranked it #5 of 11 and another admitted to being scared of the Z/28 and opted to drive the "much less terrifying" Lamborghini Aventador SV instead!)) and performed respectably in a head to head against the best mustang (GT350R) to roll out of Ford's factory in a long time (and is an ass kicker too). And it looks like it will kick your ass from here to timbuktu. What is to regret?

Zero regrets! I hate my ZL1. Lease ends in June. Bye, bye.
Z/28 is the one.

OP, it sounds like you have regrets. Who cares what we think? Go buy one of those other cars, ZL1, Z06, whatever. Life is too short man.
Go scratch that itch and have fun. Me? No regrets. I still can't believe I own this car. I'm serious.

This is the first car that I have owned that feels like it's going to be a keeper. As Crushinator says in his post above, it feels like the perfect car for me.
My only regret is that it wasn't available 10 years ago. If it had been I wouldn't have wasted so much money on an SRT Charger, an S6, an R8 and two Cobra's before getting this wonderful piece of kit. |

only regret because I'm really cheap is that I only got 3k off msrp to have one built on the first day in 2014 and didn't wait 6-7 months for the killer 20% off.

No regrets at all. This is a keeper and my 13 year old son already has called dibs on it. Reminds me of the greatest of late 60's and early 70's muscle cars (I have had had a few). Get one while you can.

I though the total was 1797 for the two year run. Everybody posting different counts.
