Hey, I'm trying to figure out what the problem is for my Camaro, but I've had no luck. I turn the car on and it has a rough and shaking idle, then shuts off. What could this be?!

It just started yesterday! I haven't done anything to the vehicle, I thought it could have been bad fuel as I filled up last night, so I put some heet in it, that didn't help anything, cleaned my K&n air filter, still nothing.

Is the check engine light on?
Have you checked the plug connections?
Has it been scanned to see if codes are being thrown?

Don't know much about mechanics.. Which plug connections should I check & where would they be located? No check engine light.

Did you have to drive far from the Gas station to home ? Did the car run ruff going home ?Could you have accidentally filled it with Diesel fuel ?

Uploading video to YouTube now. & I filled up Friday night (Not possible I could have filled with diesel, no diesel at this station I pumped at) & I drove about 40 minutes to Chicago, drove back home Saturday morning (5am?). Woke up around 1030 & drove up north about 45 minutes to Schaumburg & back. On the way back home I noticed my cruise control stopped working. Once home I parked in the driveway & I had the car off for about 25-30 minutes before I left for work. Turned the car on then it started having the rough idle for a few seconds, then the car would turn itself off. I thought it was bad fuel as well. I already put a bottle of heet, and that didn't do anything. I cleaned my K&n air filter because I knew that must have been dirty, that didn't fix anything either .

I would bring to the dealer have them diagnose it. Looks like you have 70,000 miles on it. It may be covered by the 5yr 100 warranty depending on what it may be.

I'm pretty torn /:, 70k miles & it's been to the dealer 2 other times for stuff like this. If it's under the warranty I'm thinking about having them fix it then getting a new Camaro.. The new 16 SS is very impressive, but I don't want to deal with the Lt1.. Hopefully I can find a 15 1le new out there

I hear your frustration. Just seems so odd with no CEL, but is happening after you filled it up, but you went on a ride after the fill up with no problems. Hard to say what it can be.

still could have been diesel, I got diesel at a station with no no diesel, transfer truck pumped from incorrect nozzle
