Boring news - vmax to 80mm tb retune

No change in numbers on the dyno after my final retune. Vmx ported tb 302/276, 80mm tb same. I did not compare the power curves to see if there was a difference, though, was really just looking for numbers.

So I'd say it's a good product, and the e85 kit is definitely worth it, but if you already have a vmax I can't say it's worth the money to side grade.

Also, I don't have the overkill tune, so maybe someone will get a better effect from the combo. My tuners are pretty amazing though (rpm motorsports nc)

I am thinking the TB size change will be more noticeable to those running Force Induction and Nitrous. Not convinced there are much in gains to be had NA. I did it in the hopes to see gains, but figure the test will be when i do some nitrous runs with it.

So far i have only seen 1 person post any results for the e85 mod and none for the TB as far as Track times or a logging comparison like 25-80mph. To me Dyno will not tell the story..Dyno helps tune, but unless everyone uses the same one its too hard to compare one guy to another.

Do you have the jacfab ported intake mani? If you do maybe you should get it opened up to match the 80mmTB? Or if you don't have , maybe you should consider getting one matched to the 80. I bet that would give something more, or it seems like it should.

Just cuz we have mods doesn't mean we have the time. :-)

I work 14-16 hours a day 5 days a week, and 9 hours Saturday.

Any free time after that is usually spent passing out after a beer or on the golf course!


But I need to get in the dyno soon. Gotta see what all these new goodies have done for me after will retunes me
