Moroso catch can LFX install (LOTS O' PICS)
EDIT: Pics added as attachments due to Photobucket fail With the pics of what our intake valves will look like in short time without a catch can, I wanted to get one on my 2K mile '15 ASAP. Having been a gearhead for around 5 decades, when i saw that Moroso had a nice purdy one, I had to have it. They have a kit that has brackets for most Gen5's, but not specifically for the LFX, and they don't advertise it as fitting one, but where there's a will, there's a way. I figure they designed the brackets before the LFX was out and haven't updated it. But by drilling one 1/4" hole one bracket, and one bracket flipped over when assembling, it fits perfect on our LFX's. Hope you like pics. Got a little carried away today with the camera. ![]() This pic is of the bracket assembled per Moroso's instructions, and just laying near the bolts it mounts to by the radiator. Can't really tell from this above view, but that mess of wiring harnesses are directly below the clamp that holds the can, blocking any way the can would fit. By flipping the one bracket over, it moves the mount away from the wires, but a portion of it is under the engine cover, and almost touching it. If you don't want to re-install the engine cover, or don't mind hacking out a corner of it, you're good to go. I didn't want to hack the cover, and that intake is butt ugly, so I marked the mounting bracket where it bolts up to the radiator mount. Marked, center punched, and drilled a 1/4" hole to lower the clamp bracket, but still leave enough clearance between the screw and where the radiator mount contacts the bracket. This pic shows it mounted and PCV lines hooked up. The stock PCV line is a thin wall, but fairly rigid plastic. It has a bend in it where I just cut out about 1" of the line where this bend is so the supplied hoses will slip over it easier. The fit of the supplied lines over the stock PCV lines is a fairly tight fit, and slid them together as far as I could. They're not going to leak or come apart w/o clamps. Even so, a clamp may crush the stock line. With the can clamped in and the engine cover on, there's just the right clearance. (for reference, the 1" piece of PCV line sitting on top of the can) And a couple completed pics. I'm going to have to tighten the drain valve/spout a little more to get it to line up a little bit better for easier drain, but it's on. ![]() ***Just thought of something...mine is a 6 speed, not auto, so I don't know if there's more garbage to work around in that area or not. Nice job with the install and display of what can be done with a little work.

1800 mile UPDATE-
While I had the car in my barn surveying the damage from nailing a semi's retread that was on it's side @ 75mph yesterday, I thought I'd see if there was anything in my catch can after installing it 1800 miles ago. ....that's the bottom of a 16.9oz Dasani water bottle.
