Are the 2013+ L99 tune different from pre 13 models - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Is the factory tune on 2013+ L99 models different from pre13 models and if so does anybody know what the difference is. I was on the forum and came across this thread

I saw that too and wondered the same thing. Its just a wild guess on my part but I could see switching to the electric power steering affecting the tune in some way. I know it played havoc with the Range AFM Delete as it had to compete with the additional information going through the communications bus.

I'm intersted to hear more on this too.

Like qcman said, I would imagine that there would be some difference with the electric assist steering. I know that in dyno results it frees up about 15 extra rwhp.
