How much does it usually cost to get your tail lights smoked out? I don't want to get ripped off. Also, does anyone know of any good paint shops around the Long Beach/LA area?

Covers are attached with velcro-can fall off, stolen, or removed(4 fix-it ticket). Check a couple vendors here like defendeerworx to get price, you install. Paint is pricier and is done by a shop-is permanant, not sure if you would have to scrub it off or get new lenses(fit-it ticket). Vinyl is $24 on ebay, self installed with hair dryer, can be removed(fix-it ticker) one time. If you can wait, after cars & coffee this month 10/24 they are going over to defenderworx after. Might be special pricing on covers, not sure if they carry vinyl or call them.

Looks good against the black... Just head over to the nearest tint shop, they'll do it for ya cheap

Here is an ebay link for the heavy vinyl overlays. These are a really good price. You just use a hair dryer to install. The are heavier than tint and easier to work with.

Hey guys, it is not illlegal to tint taillights. Code states that lights must be visable at 50 feet. With LED bulbs you can go way dark & not get a ticket.

We finished the tail light patterns tonight and will be adding them to the web site tomorrow. We currently have side marker light & reverse light black outs.

regardless if you get a cop having a bad day and needing to get you for something they will ticket you for this assuming that the tint makes it impossible to see your lights. had this happen while driving my wifes 1996 Camaro Convertible with taillight covers - cop gave me a fix-it ticket for "tinted taillights" because he thought i was speeding (exhaust sound) and when he figured out i wasnt he just had to get me for whatever he could.

They look cool but just like any other mod - its subject to interpretation with the law.
