Sept 4-5 Musclepalooza @ E-Town

Musclepalooza is an event sponsored by Hemmings Magazine and is done twice a year at a different track. I went to the last one up state at Lebanon Valley Dragway. They had 800 cars in the car show and 350 cars drag racing.

I have to say that it was the absolutely best car event I ever went to and I have been to a lot.

I plan to go on the Saturday event since its a little later in the day/evening and won't be as hot as Sunday (plus my kids B-day party is on Sunday).

I won't enter the car show but rather the racing event. You get two practice runs then you pick your time bracket and race other cars in your bracket. For people who have never tracked before its a good place to start. Lots of people with good advice. For those of you who know already sorry to explain this but its like the price is right game show, you "dial in" your time and its the closest without going over or rather under.

Here is the link to the event

http://216.109.136.172/schedule/musclepalooza.aspx

or you can go to www.racewaypark.com

There is food, music, vendors and all sorts of stuff. For those who want to race I'd say we go as a group and pick a place in the pit area where we can all hang together.

You need a helmet to race. Best place to get one is a motorcycle/atv shop.

Here I am at the last event:

I'll most likely be there, depends on how many miles since upgrades to car. I'll probably race only.

Only 1-2 passes The show looks cool but I wouldn't try to run the car

I made two time trials and two eliminations when I went. So your guarranteed at least three passes. If you do well you will race all day. It is a racing event so its not like a private track rental or plain ole other trip to the track. I think on Saturday they wont get 350 to race like Sunday. Will still be a lot. Would be nice to see like a dozen new Camaros even some V-6's race. Between passes we hang and could look at cars in the show.

Look at the line of cool cars lined up right behind me. I raced two chally R/T's, the chevelle SS in the photo and some old ford (wasn't a stang). I beat them all but ran too fast against the SS so was eliminated.
