Auto - second gear "slap" when cold
Has anyone else noticed a slap/clunk/mechanical noise when they first start to drive off with a cold car during the 1st - 2nd shift?
My car has done it since new, now with 1400 miles on it. I can only hear it one time per cold startup. If I stop and then accelerate again, the 1-2 is totally silent. I was also thinking it might be in the rear end, like the limited slip or something. Not real concerned about this, but curious nonetheless. |

I hear the same thing all the time primarily when it is cold. Took it to the dealer and they heard it but couldn't really detrmine if anything was wrong or if it was normal for break-in. Thery said to drive it more till it has some more miles on it. Have a little over 1,000 miles on it now and still hear it.
