Climate Control Question
Hey guys... something that has annoyed and baffled me since day one. Finally getting around to ask every ones thoughts/opinions...
When I turn on my climate control (LS model), no matter what setting (hot, cold or in between) - the AC light is activated and Im assuming the compressor is as well. I can leave it on heat (like it is now), shut the car off and come back two days later and when I turn the nob to adjust fan speed, the AC is activated and I have to manually shut it off. EVERY TIME. Hopefully Im explaining this well enough for you guys to understand. It just doesn't seem right to me and was wondering if anyone has experienced this.

Mine is not like that. Mine remembers the last setting before the last time you shut the car off.

My old 13' ls used to do that as well. I think I just messed around with it for a while and it stopped eventually. Sorry I can't be of much help, maybe try playing with the buttons..

Here is a work-around I do ...
leave the fan set to low speed and a/c off before shutting the car off. Next time I start the car the a/c is off and the fan is running as the default. Conversely ... (if I have the fan off when I shut off the car, the next time I start the car as soon as I turn the fan on the a/c automatically goes on also -- a pain in the winter) Ron
