why is there so much more parts for the 10-13 vs the 14-15

why are there so many more parts and everything for the 10-13 vs the 14-15 for example theres so many more body kits, grills, bowties, even performance parts and suspenson? you would think they would slow or stop production for a part that fits a newer car and it seems like companys dont care about the 14-15?

It's because the 14-15 was a refresh, and talk for the 6th gen started in 2014. Smart companies didn't put in the research and development time for new parts on an older refreshed model. They put the R & D into parts for the 6th gen, which will generate more revenue.

That being said, most parts for the 10-13 will work on the 14-15. They are just listed as being for the 10-13.

Nail on the head...mainly applies to body and trim parts, as the engines and tranny's received little if any changes since 2009.

Except for headers, everything performance related that would work on an LLT should work on the LFX. Also, the suspension is basically the same for all model years. So, anything that would work on a '10-'13 should work on a '14-'15.

I'm not sure what parts specifically you are talking about. The ZL1 front bumper will work on the later models, the side skirts, the hoods, wheel and tires, etc, etc. The only things I can think off the top of my head would be the custom rear diffusers and custom grill treatments. Other than that, the '14-'15's seem to have the same aftermarket as the older models.

The only thing I've noticed is that GM is supporting the non V8 models more on the 6th gen. They make a GM PP intake for the new LGX and offer a factory 1LE model trim option for V6's. Something they never offered on the 5tn gen. I would have been nice if they made a 1LE factory model option on the 5th gen V6's.

no they did not make a v6 1le 5th gen. most companies never updated their catalogs for 14-15. the only thing that changed was the front and rear end cosmetics. all other parts are the same.

I thought that when they introduced the 1LE. A couple hundred pounds lighter would have made a real nice canyon carver.
