I don't know why, but I like the heritage wheels

I don't know why, but I really like the looks of the heritage wheels. It seems to give the car a more masculine look, also more retro. Maybe it's because so many Camaros you see on the road and this forum have the 20" wheels.

They would go through a car wash better and if you have a accident they're not $500 to replace. Every aluminum wheel I have had they screw them up when they take the tire off.

Precisely why I like them, they also remind me of my 70's muscle cars. The roadrunners, dusters, darts, chevelle's all had deep dish trim rings like this.

Still have the Crager's on the 69, and I have had the car for over 20 Yrs. Have had multiple alloys on my previous daily drivers and have had multiple problems. The road in CT and Mass are always being worked and just destroy these rims with low profile tires. On my 2010 camaro I have a set of heritage for the winter...... you know I get a lot of people commenting on how they like them with the victory Red. Ah, i'm still going back to the 20s when spring arrives but no more low profile tires on my daily driver. To many broken rims and blown tires.

They look OK on a stock 5th gen.

IMHO, they would look AWESOME on a 5th gen that was customized to be more 60's retro.

I was thinking of painting them with High Performance metallic silver urethane but don't know if I want to mess with a good thing. I would like the 20's for the summer, but thats all I'm driving it for now so the heritage wheels would be useless.

They's be better if the rings were steel, or chrome instead of plastic....

True they were always brushed stainless or some type of metal.
Plastic is the way of the industry today.
