Should have been in the Z06 or Grand Sport. I guess this could end up in the ZR1, again, if the big wing ZR1 isn't the top dog Corvette.

I said this in another thread, but its worth repeating here:

The Camaro is 'F' code, but there isn't a single F coded engine listed. It should be in with the LTG, LGX, LT1, and LT4. At first I thought that the Camaro was lumped in with the ATS & CTS under 'A', since they're all on the Alpha platform. But Camaros are still F-bodys, technically, and yet according to that list ... they don't get any engines.

Oh also ... looks like either the CT6 or some new Omega based car is getting the LT4 next year (code 'K')

There is an F code in the list but it's for the Engine None designation for the Bolt EV...

Something tells me that code doesn't always specify which vehicle lines the engine goes to. Or someone screwed up.

Actually looking at it now, Bolt EV and Camaro share the F code?

Looks like the engine code chart is platform based, as I first guessed. Camaros are 'A' cars like the ATS & CTS, as far as engines goes. But 'F' cars in the VIN. If you look at the Camaro page, it will show all of the Camaro codes are under 'Book A', meaning they're Alpha cars.

Bolt is 'Book F'

I see that now.

Maybe a CT6-V is on the way?

Another tidbit, LaCrosse is getting what appears to be a 2.5L eAssist model.

Thats what I'd put my money on. Even though I think I remember either GM or Johan saying around a year ago that there wouldn't be a CT6-V ... that doesn't mean a whole lot. They'd say something along those lines until the minute before it gets unveiled.

On the other hand ... what if its 'just' a CT6-Vsport?

LT1 is listed in A and Y. LT4 is in A, Y and K. I'm guessing Y is Corvette, A is Camaro and K is Cadillac.

A is Alpha platform (Camaro, ATS, CTS), Y is Y-body platform (Corvette), K is Omega platform (CT6).

You can tell K is for Omega/CT6 because of the 3.0 twin turbo. Only 1 application for that engine. And is also lists 'CT6' as belonging to 'K Book' if you scroll down farther. But if 'K' was used for the CTS and/or ATS then it would also be listed beside the LF3 (CTS-Vsport) and/or LF4 (ATS-V). But they both those TTV6s have 'A' as users but not 'K' (LF3 also has 0G for the Epsilon II platform which underpins the XTS-Vsport ... which nearly everyone forgets is still a thing).

After parsing though that VIN card yet again ... I have come to the conclusion that they are not meant for amateurs like us to read easily. And that anyone who would stay up after midnight, reading it line by line just to see what it says and try to decode it all just for the 'fun' of it is truly crazy.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to re-read the VINcard just to see what all it says & hopefully decode it all. I should be going to bed, but this is too much fun.

I always look forward to these things getting published every year. People never fail to find unannounced stuff like this in them.

Wouldn't a 6.2L DOHC engine be massive in physical size?
