Is it safe to purchase from a member out of the country

Is it safe to make a purchase parts from a member that is out of the country?
In case you might ask, let's say Canada for example.
Does Pay Pal offer the same protections it normally would
for an out of the country purchase between private individuals?

I know when I use to buy things off eBay from overseas i was covered through PayPal. I can only assume it's the same with every purchase as long as it's not a gift purchase. You can always send then an email or call to know for sure.

Well, there's an iTrader rating thing on here, so that member will have a reputation to stand by. You could also post his username on here and see if anyone has had any dealings with them. I don't see how posting their username would hurt them any... shit, they might be Mother Teresa on here.

Your biggest problem will likely be customs depending what it is you are importing. Best to check with them first. I would expect anyone trying to sell to you from overseas has more of an interest in developing a connection than screwing you...but you never know in the end.

Well having bought lots of stuff from US sellers through the years I have never been scammed.

Do your due diligence and check buyer feedback and join date are they new do they contribute to the site or are they here just to sell?

I've sold parts to Italy, paypal works the same, the customer just make it a point to make sure I describe the parts as best as I can. Don't be vague. He said don't put "car parts", add make and model and what they are, makes it easy to pass through.
