Stripe Removal

I have browsed around and wanted to see if I could get e clearer answer for the impression that's left behind on the hood and truck and spoiler of the car when the stripes are removed. I have a white/ orange stripes and want to remove the stripes they been on the life of the car 2010 and I know the orange stripes will leave a impressison. My question would be the best way to get that impression gone? I want to remove the stripes but also don't want it looking like a egg white. Any advice is appreciated and I have searched form but couldn't find a clear answer on the left over if we have a post on this I would gladly delete and go to that thank you!

You will get more replies in the detailing section. I would say a heat gun would make it easier to remove. The impression you will have is from built up wax or sealant and dirt that caked up around the edges. I would start by doing a strip wash, clay, and polish if needed.

I tried removing part of my side stripes since they are all cracked and dry.

I had to stop 20 seconds after I began. The paint under the stripes was shadowed much darker than my OEM Cyber Gray.

So now I am doomed to forever having side stripes. Although I am getting them removed and replaced with a different color scheme.
