Swaybar questions and lesson(s) learned
Was under the car today cleaning my mufflers and happened to see that a bolt had dropped out from each side of the rear swaybar bracket. Who knows where they are .. anyway the 2 bolts that were left (1 on each side) were almost gone as well. The one bracket appears to be bent now .. not sure if I can get it installed correctly or not ..
Has anyone else had any issues with the pfadt bolts coming loose? Crowley

Mine did. Found it this passed weekend. Bracket was hanging. Lowes for bolts and a little locktite and all good.
Except when GTAHVIT said he was gonna kick my a**........ lol, he was the one who saw it..........

Can you clarify what you are referring to? Which bolts are missing? Can you post pictures? Which bracket is bent? We have not had a single call/email regarding this, and want to make sure you get it sorted out. Thanks. Last edited by PfadtRacing; 06-03-2010 at 07:22 PM. |

What are you guys torqing these to? We have not experienced any of this whatsoever. Hope everyone is following proper torque specs. We appreciate the feedback and need to know if we should be more clear on install procedure.

The more I think about it, those bolts are difficult to torque correctly with the exhaust in place. This may be the problem. Still need to make sure you get the right torque on it so they don't back out. Let me know if we can help in anyway.

ADM did my install so I am sure they were torqued correctly ... One of the perks working with ADM is that he came by and helped (meaning did all the work) .. fix this as well .. new bolts, re bent the one bracket so it would fit (it got bent when both sides came loose) .. all is well but I'll be keeping an eye on it now too .. LOL
Thanks for the quick postings though from PFADT ... ![]() Crowley

I found when I installed mine, I couldn't get my torque wrench on the bolts. So I just used the old, I'll keep tightening it until my fingers start to hurt torque specs.
I haven't looked, but if I remember this weekend, I'll check them out. |

Checked mine - no issues, didn't think there would be as East Coast Supercharging did the install and they're the best local shop.
