Hi Guys,

I have a new can of ATE TYP200 DOT 4 brake fluid standing on my garage, left from my prior car that I did not used.

Do you think that the ATE would be any good for occasional track usage like a HPDE event? How many litters of brake fluid do we need on our ZL1s for a full fluid replacement?

Absolutely. It is a great fluid. You can switch between that and Ate super blue to know when the flush is complete as well.

1.5 liters will get it done. ATE super blue is a great fluid; however, they removed the blue dye on the newest versions due to a DOT violation. Anything is better than the stock DOT 3 fluid.

Been using Typ200 on a road course, Nürburgring GP, it worked flawlessly even though They say this track is hard on the brakes.

Blue Type is not produced anymore. I used 2 liters to make sure all of the stock fluid is gone for good.
