Nice! I used to say that the zl1s weren't that fast as a 5th gen out of the factory but once I started to understand the gearing and the dramatic effect just an e85 tune has on them and a few bolt ons it is telling. Easily one of the best looking and easy potential mods camaro ever made. With all the money I put in my ss I figure it would have been just as much as buying a zl1 and modding has sooooooo much more potential.
Great to see your runs especially with you rowing your on gears. People who have never seen an auto vs stick of the exact same car run each other don't understand how hard it is to keep up with an auto these days especially with these new automatics. Granted you have some more than basic mods but that looks like a sweet setup. |

Agreed that I have more than just the basic mods in comparison, but I love my setup as well - thanks for the kind words!

I’ve watched these videos a few times now. Really impressed with your build. Nice work representing Gen 5. So many people say our cars are slow, even when modded. Us owners certainly know otherwise.

In hindsight I wish I had started a build thread back when I got it. I'm very happy with where it is now. I think in the next year or so I'm going to do a Kong X port on the blower and it should pick up another 80-100 wheel hp. But I definitely need a clutch first.

Love the videos! The 4-5 shift is so close, like the 3-4 in the zr1, music to the ears. I see in your mod signature You have 391s, with the bigger power have you thought about dialing it back a bit?

I love my 3.91's with this setup so I would not consider dialing it back. In fact I'm currently saving up to do a Kong X-Port setup on my LSA to hopefully get another 80-100rwhp But I also need to get a new clutch before I grenade my stock factory clutch.
