Exhaust system swap

A friend of mine works at a dealership. They have traded for a 2015 camaro 1le. It has bbk shorties, catless x pipe and borla atak catback. He asked me if I wanted to trade my stock exhaust from my 2012 SS for the exhaust from the 2015. The dealership will basically just swap one for the other. Are there any differences that need to be addressed. They are both single tip per side exits and neither one have ground effects. I see borla has a different part number for the 2012 vs 2015. Is the swap possible.

Im almost positive you should not have a problem. This is also a steal. Not a fan of shorties but for a free swap thats great

Do you drive a manual or auto? That might be something to consider. If they are both manual you should be good. Auto has a bit different piping layout than the manuals I believe, still shouldn't be an issue though. Take the deal. Worst case scenario you can part it out and make money if you dont like it lol

Stock cats? If you jump on this(looks like good deal) a set of H/F cats is what really wakes everything up...plus this now give you an excuse to get in touch with dynoSteve and get one of his remote tunes...THAT will make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up AND his tune will pass all emissions....and no cel's either! good luck!

That should be a straight swap since the earlier gen and newer gen exhaust only differences is where the tips end up towards the back.

Well guys the deal fell through. It was all set up. I dropped the car off and the dealership called me later and said they descided to just take the other car to auction. I figure someone higher up saw what was going on and pulled the plug. Oh well if was a nice try. I did get a consolation prize however. We swapped engine covers. Mine was beat and worn. Now I have a nice one.
