Looking for a Z/28

Low 40's. I have my eye on a couple right now, but would like to see if anything is out there in Camaro5 land.

We can discuss what they're worth and the fact that they are long term collectibles, but that's beating a dead horse. We all know they are great cars and that's why I want another one.

(No, I can't believe I sold my first one...)

PM if you have a lead for me. Thank you!

I would need more than low 40's. If you had a ZL1 coupe, id consider a trade with more money. With PFADT suspension mods, you can get one to handle really well.

There's a bunch of folks on here that are trying to trade up to a 6th gen ZL1... I'm sure you can PM them for details

Why did you sell your first one and what has brought you back?

I know there are a few Z/28's on the market that I'm missing. Besides checking Cargurus, Autotrader, Cars.com and ebay, where can I look for inventory?

I have 3-4 good cars to choose from right now, but of course I want to see everything out there that I can.

Don't laugh, you won't find any dealer types on a fishing expedition like that CTF car in Fla, mostly very realistic pricing and it's a free service so to speak. I'm pretty much in the same boat as you, sold my ultra low mile car to a member on here(great guy) earlier this year, and soon after got sellers remorse have been looking for the last few months for a nice non tracked example with low miles. IMO the corner is turning on the clean low mile cars, they used to sit on the internet for awhile but within the last month or two they sell very quickly- I've lost out on a couple by hours literally and i'm on it pretty hard. Seems like the PP cars are more than dealer one's- ideal scenario is to locate one that's been traded in at a high line dealer by an owner who upgrades to a Porsche or the like, dealer doesn't do his home work/ goes off book value which we know is pretty low. Yes, seems like there are more coming available, but the one's with over 5k + miles languish. So the early word is the ZL1/1LE is a harsher ride than the Z?,that's going to be a rinse lather repeat cycle and if they stall sales wise and no Gen 6Z.. Either way these are a great value right now, CCB's and 427 NA won't be back anytime soon IMO good luck hunting!

Thanks for the reply. The good news for me is, I don't need a perfect car. I'm content just knowing I have a Z/28 again. And you're absolutely right: the NA 427 is what brings me back to this car.

Good luck to you. I don't really even consider any west coast cars because I don't want to add 2K to the price for shipping. They're all yours!

I WAS looking at a new Z/28 here in Virginia. Until I received this email this morning:

Hi Dan,

Glad to hear that you sold your ZL1 congrats! We only have one Z28 left on the lot, I sold the other one last month. The Z28 that we have here unfortunately was in our service bay getting new tires put on and when the service tech was taking it out of the garage he hit a retainer pole with the front right bumper. The vehicle was taken to Caliber Collision and fixed. There was no frame damage but the whole front bumper was replaced. I just wanted to be up front with you. We can get you the vehicle for $53,990.00 plus title, tax and fees. Please let me know what you want to do. Thanks!
