Amp Position Question

I apologize in advance if this is a dumb question, but does the position of the amp matter. For example I am using 2 old amp racks from a guy that is no longer on here. One for the factory position and one for the right wheel well. Both amps are up right and horizontal, I an installing new RCA's that have a larger connection port and they will not fight, i I keep the amps upright and horizontal, but UPSIDE down, will it matter, they are both JL Amps. I know they will work fine, but over time does some how damage the amp?

I have the exact same racks (from ST) and JL XD amps. As far as I know there should not be any issues
