Check Engine Light

Hello, I have a 2022 ZL1 that I recently put on Roto.fab cold air intake, Borla Atak exhaust and Kooks long tube headers with high flow cats. After about 50 miles after install check engine light came on.
P0269- Bank 1 lean

The place I had install in it says it will need a tune, is this common?

Thanks!

Yep you need to tune out CAT banks. If someone installed all that for you and didn't think they would cause increased air flow causing a lean condition I would be finding someone else. FYI, head over to the 6th Gen forum you will get more input.

Ok, it made sense to me that it would need a tune, would it be driveable until then? The place I had install it deals primarily with imports from a tuning perspective. They did a good job, but unfortunately do not have the equipment to tune these cars. They suggested a few people in my area.

Thanks again!

To be safe, I personally wouldn’t drive it until the tune. A lean condition doesn’t make me warm and fuzzy.

You will be ok to drive it some, but I would NOT wait too long to get a tune! Running lean can, and will eventually cause some issues. Also when you get it tuned, you will reap the benefits of the LT's and CAI. Good luck.
