Tvs 2300 launch rpm ??
Long story short the shop that built the car told me to launch at 2300 rpm letting off the clutch fast and the guy that owned the car before me told me to launch at 5k? . The shop (which I'm probably gonna go with) said let the blower and the gears do the work launch lower like 2500. What do you guys think ?

Try low rpm first to feel it out and start going up until you are comfortable. I just hope you have a lot of suspension work done to it too, and a good clutch.

did you race it before the work? boost usually likes lower rpm launch and lower gear ratio..but per above start off low and work you way up otherwise...pieces all over the track, your pissed AND the other racer are pissed too...ROFL...JK...have fun be safe...

That setup sounds like it wouldn't need a ton of RPM to launch effectively. Definitely start reasonable (ie. 2500rpm or so) and slowly work up to the limit of traction. A really good tire is going to take a lot of RPM even with the power and the gears that you have on tap, you'll just have to work up to it and find where it leaves best.
I agree with these guys too - you've got some sticky tires and lots of power, so use caution on that launch. Definitely do diff and sub-frame bushings, control arms, etc. You might consider preloading the driveline with the e-brake and clutch to take some of the harshness out of the hit. I've found for me it also helps quell the wheelhop that I get some of the time.

I used to be M6 with about 650 whp. If I launched above 2000 rpm I would blow off the tires and I had 17s with slicks. Test what works for you.

So launching at 2500 rpm gave me a 1.68 spinning and then hooking and launching at 3100 gave me a mid 1.7x 60'. Not sure if this is due to heat soak, but it actually seemed like a harder launch at 2500 . I also think I had to much air In the tires (16psi) , next time I'm gonna try a 2k launch... I didn't side step the clutch either , just let it out fast. As far as the drive line:

My Maggie with M6 and 748rwhp and DRs I'd leave at 3500 and cut a 1.53 60ft. But I have to slip the clutch and progressively and fuel to keep the tires under it. Not sure it's the best way but got my best 60 that way. I've only made about 60 passes with my car so really a rookie still.

For second I shoot for 4500 not sure where it actually hits at I've never logged a run. 3rd about 5500 and 4th about the same. If I string it out any more the damn thing just won't shift. I've got a 4l80e now but still trying to get to the track. Hope that helps just pay attention to what your doing write it down after the pass and fine tune from there. Good luck
