Which HF cats to use with Speed Engineering LTs?

Plan to order a set soon. For those of you who went catted, which HF cats did you end up purchasing?

I didn't go with cats, but most go with Texas Speed. You have to call them to order their HF cats I believe

Texas Speed. Cost as much as your headers (300/pair plus shipping), but were a direct bolt on

You might as well go with Texas Speed headers if you're going catted. The cost is almost identical and you might as well buy it all at one place instead of piecing it together to spend basically the same amount of money.

Speed Engineering doesn't offer high flow cats, if you want them you'll have to outsource.

I think my stainless power were about $200 and work good. Your end of your headers matters in what you buy if you have flanged or other non normal headers to match up to the stock exhaust with 2 1/2 " diameter , and of course you would need to fit and cut and strap in the HFCs and replace the O2s into them though they are disabled, most likely your round and not flanged and ready to match up to HFC, just needing to shorten the 2 1/2 "exhaust. It appears they sell a 3 to 2 connection just no cats and they are about the size of HFCs and the shape...... https://www.speed-engineering.com/sh...ton-pipes.html Good Luck, I do not see a merge spike a nice feature listed in their design either.. You also may want to buy a set with a tune for the car which will be needed to disable the back cats and a code of delayed response from the fronts while at the same time being able to change other parameters like fan temp on, a 160 degree thermostat to go with headers usually, and torque management of dealing with other things like 1-4 shift idling low or hill start etc and of course if a good tune some AFR remapping etc.... Places of I can think of....Steve at RDP or Jannetty racing, more places all over like Livernois or Lingenfeltrers, Phastek maybe even or etc etc etc And if you get the tune you will avoid the dreaded CEL until done....check engine light..... and codes thrown which need the tune and can seriously make a auto trans shift better.

Eastern Catalytic 79130 slipped right onto the ends of my speed engineering long tubes and they're 150 for a pair and it was $50 to get reducers welded on to bolt up the 2.5" exhaust. can't beat it!

Contact a local muffler shop and see if they can make some. Henry's muffler in NC made my high flows, installed for about 350

Probably gonna end up getting these:

They are 200 cell converters.
