New pics of my SIM w/Eibach Pro-Kit springs-updated 10/29

I just had these put on today and I have to say I am very pleased with the new Eibach Pro-Kit springs, which give a 1" all-around drop. The ride is much smoother than I anticipated and actually feels better to me, handles great in the curves, reduces the rear squat at launch as well. But most of all, it looks really good, taking out that wheel well gap. The first photo is the car before, and the rest are the car afterward. I wish I would have done close-ups of the front and rear before also, but I only have the after version. The car maybe has to drop another 1/4" or so before it's fully settled. I'm tellin you, just throw on a set of lowering springs and replace the exhaust and it turns the head-turners into neck-breakers! The car now has a low profile, mean, well planted stance and all I need now is a new air intake and tint and I'm set!

I think anyone who gets the Eibach pro-kit will be really satisfied, and with only a modest 1" drop, you should not need a camber alignment--this coming from the performance racing mechanic who installed them, but your need for one may vary by specific application. But I'll keep on eye on it though.

HAHA Famous last words.

Looks great! I'd recommend a good set of gill inserts to really set off the side profile. Just my 0.02

I am doing same this week using Eibach springs and stabilizer bars. Did you measure fender lip height first? FYI, my factory fronts are at 30 inches and rears 30 1/4 inches. Give us yours after spring install. Looks great.

Looks cool...Does it take you half an hour to get into a parking lot now? Im also curious about the handling. I have found that when under hard cornering and hitting a little dip or bump in the road unsettles the stock suspension in the car pretty badly..I would think this would make you rebound like you were on a pogo stick.

Thanks--that's my favorite part. Honestly, I feel like there is no sacrifice in ride quality, perhaps even better. It still absorbs bumps well, it's slightly stiffer, but well balanced and controlled, not jumping all over the road. The car handles excellent on the few curves I've tried it on. I haven't really cornered too hard, but I know that previous past spring sets (Eibach and others) I've had will sidestep the car in tight curves to some extent. I would expect somewhat of an increase in that. Of course you get the occasional groove in the road, and the car wants to follow it, but that's mainly due to the fat low profile tires. I've had Eibach pro-kits before on an '03 Acura CL-S, and this feels much more controlled and smooth. Haven't gone over any speed bumps yet, but so far, I'm impressed, and damn it looks good in person. I think Eibach did well on this one.
