I just got an email from my dealer today telling me that GM has increased the constraint on the SS model from 50% to 100%. That really blows! I was looking forward to picking up the car in Feb. while i'm home from Afghanistan on leave... Now there is a good chance i might not get it until Sept. 2010... Man that sucks!! Hopefully the dealer can come through!!!

i still got a couple of months to see what happens, but it looks like im gonna be gettting on a plane and picking one up and driving home with it... Don't wanna waste time flying somewhere to pick up a car when i can drive 15 mins and pick it up, but we will see

Have we checked with more then one dealer? I have heard alot of things from dealers of the last couple of weeks. Whats Scotty say about this?

I'll believe it when I here it from Scotty. this is the first I have heard about the SS being on constraint. What the heck is a 50% constraint.

Your dealer probably has no allocation left. You have to remember there are still 19000 orders to be filled.

Check with CamaroScotty. He can probably have on waiting for you when you get back. He is a heck of a nice guy and very easy to deal with.

Balise Chevrolet (877) 214-6563 here in Warwick RI has 4 2SSRS Camaros, IOM, SIM, IBM and Black, call them and have the Car shipped to you, Brian LaNinfa is the Salesman to call (401)-263-9663, I bought mine from Balise and received top knotch service. Tell Brian Joe with the Orange SSRS told you to call, Brian is a top knotch guy.

The only current constraint is on LT models w/ the RS package. There are no constraints on the SS, however there is a backlog as the SS was on constraint for a while.

Better get a new dealer as he is playing you! They have worked w/ suppliers to actually increase the number of SS's that could be made. I ordered mine on 11/3 and 11/4 it had gone to 2500 (Order Preferenced). My car is being built next week and w/ shipping I could have it within 6 weeks of ordering!

There are no restraints on SS at the moment.

when will the contrains on the lt rs be lifted do you know?
