Tint - get Ceramic or not?
Ok....want to hear from those in TX to see if you think it's worth double the money to get the ceramic tint vs the non-ceramic/non-metalic tint.
I've heard a couple people say they think it keeps the heat down inside the car better than non-ceramic. Then I hear from someone else that it's all just a bunch of hype. Anyone know what the real advantages of ceramic over non-ceramic are? Part of me says it's probably not worth the extra $200 but the other part says...what's $200 over the life of the vehicle. Get the best tint and assume it will be the last tint needed on the car. Any suggestions or feedback?

Sorry I am not from Texas but.......
Ceramic tint is fairly thick and hard to work with, so fine someone with references. Good product and holds the color better than conventional tints with dyes. I would use either ceramic or carbon tint, imo |

Ceramic...... Ba-by!
I got the Ceramic film on mine... 1) because the manual says not to use any metallic film (so that only leaves Ceramic) beacuse of the attenas in the back window. 2) because the place I went had a box with a heat lamp in it. The box had a glass sheet with the three types of film they offered... you then put your hand in, under the glass & slide the glass, feeling the 3 different temps of the lamp on your skin.... with the two metallic based films they offer, you could feel a significant amount of heat... then, the ceramic film... almost NO HEAT whatsoever was felt. Amazing. They say it blocks out 75% of heat & Sunrays therefore protecting your interior for the long haul. The place I used also has a LIFETIME WARRANTY against anything. Not only thier product, but scratches from seatbelts, window breakage, etc.
We had it put on in early Sept... it was a really hot day...when we got in after it was installed, the temp inside the car with the sun glaring in was amazing! It made a huge difference. Plus it's not dark looking from the inside out, but it's dark looking inside from the outside. I have used the cheaper metallic based tints on several other cars in the past because of the price... so I DO know there is a difference in product. You get what you pay for, it's that simple.

I had ceramic tint done on mine and really like it. I had it done at Advanced Technics in Euless. Cost me $340 tax incl, and they did a fabulous job on the 30%. They charged less then normal on the Camaro since there is indeed less window surface area. I haven't had it through the hot Texas summer yet, but think it will definately be worth it long term.
