Grille removal on '14/'15 models

I just bought this grille from eBay and I'm hoping to install it this weekend. I heard it could be very difficult to remove the original grille and I'm just looking for any suggestions from anyone who's done this in the past

Yes it's a pia, first you need to remove the whole front nose, I put mine on saw horses so I could sit and see it,start removing (carefully) the small metal push on clips, one side has two little tabs that bite into it plastic, use a small screwdriver and slide it under the side with the two little tabs and work it towards you being careful not to permanently bend them. Remove the large plastic piece that covers the impact bar.
Remove the chrome trim around the lights.
Next part is fun.
I found a small plastic scraper about 3/4 wide with a sharp edge and about 1/8 thick works great.
Made by exacta plastics inc.
Sun valley California 91352.
Starting at one of the outer most ends carefully insert the scraper from the front, in between the grille and front fascia and pull/push the two apart. Once I had a few done I was able to pull the two apart.
Hope this helped.

What a2002hd said..just one correction, you can't remove the chrome pieces above the headlights with the upper grill installed. You will want to remove the metal clips and 1 bolt securing each chrome trim piece before you start prying the upper grill though.

It took me a long time to figure out the way to remove the upper grill is to not be gentle. I used a large flathead screwdriver for prying after my plastic trim tools couldn't get the job done. Just be mindful to not damage any visible parts of the bumper in the process.

A way to cheat if you don't care about saving your old grille is to use one of those vibratory tools and carefully cut the grille to relieve the pressure on the back side of the plastic clips that you will be yelling at, just take your time.
