NPP exhaust valves make a difference after headers and onward?
Hi everyone, I’m thinking about getting headers for my car and was wondering if I should get any other exhaust pieces. The reason I’m wondering is I like the concept of valves but honestly stock they don’t make a very big difference. Does the stock NPP Muffler make a difference open or closed when you have headers or catless headers? If it doesn’t end up making a difference I might cut it off and get a car back or axle back too. I’m asking because I tried to look at some YouTube videos and after just an install of LT headers it’s impossible to hear a difference in the sound through the video. Thanks all.

I have Longtubes with catless setup back to the stock NPP muffler and the valves make a huge difference in sound. In tour mode it is really pretty quiet and very muffled when you rev it up and it track its full blown monster when you step on it and sounds awesome and not really any need for aftermarket axleback portion imo.

I went back to stock muffler after installing catless headers. Aftermarket (AWE) muffler with aforementioned setup was unbearably load at >30% throttle. Sounds amazing at idle but unfortunately too loud for me under load.
